YYC teacher charged with child porn offences

A Calgary teacher is facing child porn charges.

37-year-old Ryan Bostrom was arrested Thursday and charged with possessing and accessing child pornography.

Bostrom has been released on bail with a number of conditions including not to have communication with children under the age of 16 and not to have any devices that can access the internet.

He was arrested after a search was performed at his home by Alberta’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

The Calgary Board of Education would not comment on this specific case or identify the school Bostrom works at.

A CBE spokesperson did tell 660News in a case like this, the employee would be removed from the workplace pending further details and investigation.
