Calgary teacher in court on child porn charges

A Calgary high school teacher is scheduled to appear in court Monday on child porn charges.

Ryan Bostrom, 37, was arrested May 30th after police performed a search at his home.

The Dr. E.P. Scarlett teacher was released on bail on the condition he does not have communication with children under the age of 16, and does not have any devices that can access the internet.

The Calgary Board of Education says any employee facing those kinds of allegations is immediately removed from the workplace with pay, pending the outcome of investigations.

Bostrom is charged with possessing and accessing child pornography.
