A Calgary longboarder who suffered a stroke while fundraising for cancer is now awake.
Brandon Harrison, a cancer survivor, suffered his third aneurysm Saturday while longboarding for charity, triggering a stroke.
Harrison woke up from his induced coma Tuesday, just in time for his 20th birthday.
He’s still not able to move parts of his body, and will remain in hospital for at least 48 hours, but his parents say he’s a survivor, and it’s incredible he’s awake.
