NASA says 2013 was fourth warmest year

It may seem like a distant, fond memory but the head of NASA says last year was the fourth hottest since they began keeping records in 1880.

The average world temperature was 14.5 degrees celcius.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says nine of the ten hottest years on record have happened in the 21st Century, and both agencies say the trend will continue.
