Flood information sessions planned in Calgary

With the spring melt fast approaching, residents in flood-affected communities are becoming concerned about the risk of a repeat from last summer.

The province has organized two information sessions next week in Calgary to address those concerns.

Experts with the province and the city will be on hand to answer questions about the spring melt, river forecasting, emergency preparedness, and recovery efforts.

The first information session will be held next Monday evening, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Hall on 5th Avenue northwest.

The second will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Bowness Community Hall on 43rd Avenue northwest.
