Police search for suspect in NW knife attack

The Calgary Police Service is searching an area of the northwest for a suspect after a man was attacked with a knife in Bowness Saturday morning.
Staff Sgt. Paul Wyatt said they found the man, in his 20s or 30s, sitting on the curb in the 6200 block of Bowness Road, just before 10:30 a.m., with his face bleeding.
“Not so much of a stab, but more of a slash, unknown culprit at this point,” said Wyatt.
“That male has been subsequently transported to the Foothills Medical Centre for treatment and stitches.”
Wyatt said they are also trying to figure out if the man knew his attacker.
He gave police a possible suspect name.
The man is in stable condition.
