AARCS Launches “Double Your Money” campaign

The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) has kicked off a “Double Your Money” Donation Match Campaign, thanks to well known Calgary realtor Heather Waddell.
Waddell, a long time supporter of AARCS has pledged to match donations to the organization to a maximum of $20,000, and should that goal be reached, she’ll add another $10,000.
AARCS spokesperson Lindsay Black tells 660 News, the organization is desperately short of funds this year and all the money goes to help distressed cats and dogs.
AARCS is currently caring for 301 dogs and 251 cats and over the past month have taken in 208 dogs and cats of which a large number are high-needs animals in need of emergency medical care and surgeries.
With expenses up over $35,000 and donations down $20,000, they need your help to raise $50,000.
