Turner Valley bus driver being credited for split-second decision making

A bus driver in Turner Valley is getting credit from police for quick action that kept his students safe during a crash.
Just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to a crash between an SUV and school bus along Highway 22, southwest of Calgary.
Investigators said the SUV driver was impatient and was trying to pass a line of cars that slowed for the bus, which was turning.
The SUV slammed into the side of the bus, sending it into the ditch, but the driver managed to keep it upright averting injury for any of the more than dozen students on board.
The driver of the SUV is facing charges.
