Missing Children Society of Canada receives large donation

For 30 years, the Missing Children Society of Canada has aided law enforcement to bring kids home.

On Monday, the Calgary Police Rodeo Association showed its support with a $10,000 donation.

CEO for the society, Amanda Pick, said they’re especially grateful for the donation this year.

“In Calgary, we face lots of challenges and come together,” Pick said. “Certainly right now, financial challenges we all feel. And as a not-for-profit, who rely so heavily on donations, this makes it very difficult.”

To date, the rodeo association has donated over $90,000.

“MCSC (Missing Children Society of Canada) takes that very generous gift and donation and we use it to find missing children in Calgary. We keep our doors open with that money,” Pick added.
