Excessive speeder gets day in court

A driver caught going nearly 200 kilometres per hour over the long weekend now has a date in court.

On Sunday, RCMP say they clocked a BMW doing 192 in a 110 km/h zone on Highway 63, south of Wandering River, in northern Alberta.

The 36-year old driver is facing a speeding charge and he gets an automatic court date because he was going 50 km/h over the limit.
