Mobile dental clinic receives much needed boost to keep running

It’s sure to put a smile on many faces.
DentalCorp has stepped up with a $150,000 donation to keep the Alex Dental Health Bus on the road.
Dr. Craig Young tells CityNews, they helped a lot of kids over the weekend.
“We were mostly doing fillings, we were doing check-ups and screenings. There were a few cases that were slated for removal of teeth, but funny enough, we were actually able to do some procedures that enabled us to keep those teeth, which was a great thing, especially in a developing, young child,” he said.
The mobile dental clinic stops at shelters and other facilities around the city, offering treatment to people who can’t afford a regular dentist or don’t have insurance coverage.
