Calgary man arrested for drug trafficking in Fort McMurray

FORT MCMURRAY – Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested a 31-year-old man from Calgary suspected of drug trafficking in early September.

The special Drug Section conducted their investigation at a traffic stop in Fort McMurray.

On Sept. 10, RCMP searched a vehicle driven by the man.

Upon arresting the driver, they seized 21 grams of suspected cocaine and more than $835.

Police arrested and charged 31-year-old Godfrey Mills of Calgary with possession for trafficking.

Mills also faces an additional charge of proceeds of crime under $5000.

Although releasing Mills on bail, RCMP expects him to appear in Provincial Court on Oct. 22, 2019.
