TORONTO (660 NEWS) – EB Games has closed all of its stores but not before it caused nationwide outrage.
Dozens of people lined up outside the stores across the country on Friday morning for the release of a new video game, flying in the face of social distancing.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford found out about a massive line outside a store on Toronto’s busy Yonge Street and didn’t hold back:
“Isn’t it a shame that we have to go to this degree when we just over and over emphasize not to do this and some people ignore the advice…you’re putting everyone else into danger…please do not create these environments.”
In a statement, EB Games says it’s now closing all of it stores effective immediately and will continue to monitor COVID-19 closely.
