McDonald’s announces closures across Canada

TORONTO (660 NEWS) – There are more changes coming to our day-to-day activities. McDonald’s Restaurant is the latest business to announce it’s closing its doors to the public.

But don’t worry. There is still a way you can enjoy a Big Mac meal.

Starting Sunday, you can no longer walk into a McDonald’s to pick up your food. The only options presently available, are the drive-thru and delivery services.

This comes less than a week after the major chain announced it was closing seating areas in all its stores.

The company says the move is due to the guidance of health authorities, as well as employees and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starbucks also made similar moves closing storefronts this weekend while still offering delivery.

However, they said a few locations around hospitals will stay open to walk-in service to help out health professionals.
