Back by popular demand: More drive-thru Stampede breakfasts coming

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Some good news if you missed out on Saturday’s big Stampede breakfast.

The event at Cross Iron Mills was so successful, two more pancake breakfasts have been added.

Kristina Barnes with the Stampede said they asked people to pre-register for the breakfast and it filled up the same day they announced it.

“It was great. First time to have a drive-thru Stampede pancake breakfast. The people that came through were enthusiastic, happy to be there and our volunteers, they know how to put on a pancake breakfast.”

The new pancake drive-thrus take place on Friday at the Seton YMCA and Saturday at Southcentre Mall. Both run from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

“People want to have that feeling, coming to the pancake breakfast, being a part of the Stampede activities,” said Barnes. “We always say, keep that Stampede spirit alive.”

There are also spots available for the BMO Kids’ Day pancake breakfast on Wednesday which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

You can pre-register for the breakfasts at the Calgary Stampede website.
