A Calgary family woke up to a mangled garage and two damaged vehicles after an SUV crashed into their home and then fled the scene late Wednesday night.
Security footage from the house in the northwest community of Evanston shows an SUV appear to slide while attempting to turn a corner before skidding straight into the driveway and smashing into the garage.
A parked pickup truck was sideswiped on impact. The driver then reversed, hitting the truck again, and then driving off.
Homeowner Sherri Sponagle tells CityNews the crash dented the garage and pushed a parked car inside, leaving it damaged as well.
The family were home at the time but slept through the collision, only to discover the destruction early next morning. No one was hurt.
Calgary police confirm they received a report of a hit‑and‑run on Evansdale Way NW around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday that damaged a garage and two parked vehicles.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a dark‑coloured SUV.
The crash occurred during a spring snowstorm that hit Calgary this week, creating slick roads and traffic chaos on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. The security footage shows the street blanketed in snow at the time of the crash.
