Environment Canada confirms two tornadoes in Alberta Monday

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Environment Canada has confirmed at least two tornadoes touched down as part of a stormy Monday in parts of Alberta.

One of the tornadoes was spotted east of Dorothy at around 5:17 p.m. then another spotted in the Youngstown area around 6:20 p.m.

A third possible tornado close to 5 p.m. in the Dorothy area has not yet been confirmed.

The storm system also brought with it strong wind and large hail including hail the size of tennis balls near Drumheller.
