CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A popular coffee shop in Mission has been reprimanded by Alberta Health Services (AHS) for the second time during the pandemic.
Purple Perk on 4th Street SW was told back in May to ensure customers were not sitting on their outdoor patio benches and tables.
In a new inspection done this week by AHS, they say they found Purple Perk’s tables and chairs – both inside and outside the coffee shop – were not two metres apart, and therefore did not respect social-distancing guidelines.

AHS has told the owner to move the tables apart. If that’s not possible, the coffee shop has been asked to inform customers where they can and can’t sit.
The benches outside Purple Perk cannot be moved as they are bolted to the ground.
