CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Over six years since five young people were killed at a house party in Brentwood, a garden honouring their memories opened in Calgary
The Quinterra Legacy Garden, located at South Glenmore Park, has a focus on music and performances to highlight the legacies of the victims.

Barclay Hunter, whose son Josh was killed, hoped it can become a gathering point for Calgarians.
“It’s really a way to honour our son Josh and the other kids,” said Hunter.
“It’s a way for us to celebrate what he stood for in his life and how special he was. And to, by extension, have him continue his legacy and what he stood for.”

He says the families of the victims have been working a long time to see this park open.
“We’ve been working on it for over four years, we’re excited that this day is here finally. We’re excited to see what can happen here with music and arts and people just being able to come hang out in a cool place.”
Musical instruments, a performance stage, as well as a picnic area and various features honouring each victim can all be found in the park.
It’s also connected to the Glenmore Pathway System.
