Multiple people in hospital after collision involving transit bus

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Paramedics say six people have been taken to hospital after a two vehicle crash involving a transit bus and a transport truck along 90 Ave. and 52 St. SE.

EMS said they responded to the collision just after 11:00 Thursday morning.

“All patients are believed to be stable for this time being,” said Stuart Brideaux with Alberta EMS.

Thankfully, no fatalities were reported but the bus driver was most seriously hurt.

Brideaux added firefighters were called in to free the driver of the bus.

The area was closed to all southbound and westbound traffic for some time while the scene was cleaned up.
