CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Down in Calgary’s southeast, it seems like the holiday spirit let loose on a home on Auburn Meadows.
One man has set up 14,000 LED Christmas lights to sync up with music from 36 Auburn Meadows Green.
Tim tells 95.9 CHFM he got the inspiration from when he was in junior high school.
“Someday, I want to be like that guy! Ever since moving out, I’ve collected lights, adding a little more every single year, and eventually got to the point where I’ve figured out how to do this all animated to music thing.”
“Every year I have to spend about two to three hours adding and changing lights.”
Tim says it’s something he loves to provide for the community.
“It’s gotten great reviews from the community. My daughter and I watch it probably three times a week when I’m bringing her home from school.”
If you want to catch the music and lights show, it starts every night at 4:30, with the last one going again at 8:30.
Once you show up, a sign will show the radio station you can tune in to listen along with Tim and his family.
