BEIJING (AP) _ RISE Education Cayman Ltd. (REDU) on Thursday reported a loss of $3.8 million in its first quarter.
The Beijing-based company said it had a loss of 7 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 5 cents per share.
The provider of after-school English and tutoring services posted revenue of $39.9 million in the period.
RISE Education expects full-year revenue in the range of $216.7 million to $264 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company’s shares hit $3.55. A year ago, they were trading at $3.86.
