Joel Cowley named new CEO of Stampede

CALGARY – The Calgary Stampede has named its new CEO.

Joel Cowley will be taking the reins after serving as president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The Stampede says Cowley is very experienced in the field, has a strong background in agriculture, and has had a good relationship with the Stampede for a number of years.

Cowley replaces Warren Connell, who passed away in 2020.
