Calgary police release updated photos of suspect in city hall arson investigation

CALGARY — Calgary police have released updated photos of a man they believe attempted to light a residential school memorial on fire outside city hall earlier this month.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 3, security at Calgary’s Municipal Building noticed a man trying to light the memorial on fire before fleeing.
Security extinguished the fire and called police.

Fire crews and police arrived on scene and found several shoes at the memorial had been heavily burned.
Police are hoping the release of updated photos of the suspect will help in locating them.
