Calgary COVID protests simmer down as demonstrators adhere to injunction

Calgary police reported no major issues after another Saturday gathering of anti-COVID measure demonstrators.
This time the protest took place at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary.

The protests swelled to about 500 people huddled at Olympic Plaza.
The crowd then proceeded with a brief march to Harley Hotchkiss Gardens and back.
Police kept an eye on the group gathered in what has become a weekly downtown event over the last couple of months for those unhappy with government measures.

Minimal disruption is how Calgary police described the downtown demonstration at Olympic Plaza.
Calgary police reported no major problems but did hand out eight traffic citations and arrested one person for outstanding warrants before the crowd dispersed.
