Calgary police asking for help solving 3 cold cases

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) homicide unit and Missing Persons Team (MPT) are asking for help from the public in solving three cold cases.

Investigators say anyone who has information about the homicides of Colton Crowshoe and Hussam Isamail, as well as the disappearance of Monique Mattar should come forward.

S. Sgt. Sean Gregson with CPS says officers believe that in each one of these cases there are people who may have information that could help investigators bring closure to the victim’s families.

“As time passes, allegiances can change and people may recall details they haven’t yet talked to police about,” said Gregson. “People may assume we are aware of certain details but we encourage anyone who has information to contact us, regardless of how insignificant they think their information is. We are hopeful that by re-circulating these cases, those who have information will come forward.”

Homicide of Colton Crowshoe

Investigators have interviewed several witnesses and received a number of tips that they continue to investigate for the homicide of 18-year-old Colton James Crowshoe. Crowshoe’s body was found in a retention pond at 16 Avenue NE and Stoney Trail on July 24, 2014. He was last seen leaving a house party in the Abbeydale area on July 4, 2014.
