Search underway in Siksika Nation for evidence related to missing Calgary woman believed to be murdered

Calgary police say they believe they know the location of new evidence related to the disappearance six years ago of Tammie Doreen Howard.

Howard, also known as “Irish,” was last seen in December 2016. She was reported missing by her family four months later.

Calgary police say they believe she was the victim of homicide.

Investigators say evidence related to her death may be located east of Calgary.

A search was conducted on Siksika Nation on Saturday. Calgary police, Gleichen RCMP and others were part of the search.

Police say the investigation into the woman’s murder is ongoing.
