Fire destroys 3 homes, damages 1 in northeast Calgary

A fire destroyed three homes and damaged another in Calgary’s northeast community of Cornerstone east of Skyview Ranch Monday.
Calgary Fire tells CityNews crews were called to Cornerstone Boulevard NE shortly after 4 a.m.
Upwards of 10 firetrucks responded to the fire.
The fire broke out in the new neighbourhood where a lot of construction is happening in the area. The three homes that were destroyed were in the process of being built. Firefighters say the fire has been put out.
Calgary police tell CityNews another home was damaged in the fire, however, it’s unclear if that home was also under construction.
People in three other houses on the same block were evacuated from their homes and have since been allowed to return.
There are no reports of injuries at this time.
It’s unclear what caused the fire, however, investigators are looking into the possibility of arson.
