Southeast Calgary crash sends two people to hospital

Two people have been taken to hospital, one in life-threatening condition following a crash in the city’s southeast.

The crash occurring Tuesday just before 7 p.m. at 36th Street and 10th Avenue.

Police say a white Volkswagen rolled and the driver, a man was extricated by the fire department on scene.

No word yet on the gender of the other victim or a cause.

Police say the intersection will be shut down for hours and are asking people to avoid the area until further notice.
