Calgary Public Library opens doors to celebrate New Year’s Eve

The Calgary Public Library (CPL) is offering a warm place for people and families to welcome the New Year.
“Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Library. Say hello to 2023!” said CPL in a tweet.
“Join us at Central, Crowfoot, Saddletowne, Shawnessy, and Signal Hill libraries for a family-friendly, fun-filled party to ring in the New Year on Dec 31 starting at 11 am.”

Meanwhile, CPL is celebrating its 110 years with a reading challenge.
“Our 110th birthday celebrations come to a close with the Read 110 Challenge, and special New Year’s Eve celebrations!” CPL said on its website.
People can register for the “Read 110 Challenge” online.
“Reading maps are available once you’ve registered for the challenge on the Beanstack app.,” CPL’s website read. “Talk to a Library staff member to get registered and receive your map, or you can self-register in the Beanstack app and show your registration for the challenge to get your map, too.”

CPL’s website also reads people can use the reading map from Dec. 15 to Feb. 28.
“Only 5,000 maps are available, so get yours while supplies last!” read the website.
