Red Deer RCMP looking to identify stabbing suspect

Red Deer RCMP are looking to identify a suspect involved with stabbing a woman at a Real Canadian Super Store.

Officers say they were called for reports of stabbing on Friday at 12:20 p.m. on 51 Avenue in Red Deer, when they found out a 23-year-old woman had been stabbed in the neck by another woman during a confrontation that broke out between the two in one of the aisles in the store.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital and she remains in stable condition.

Meanwhile, RCMP say the suspect is a woman, and she was accompanied by a man in the store. She is described as having light brown hair. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black jacket, black pants, white boots, and a white hoodie.
