Calgary driver stopped going 202 km/h in 80km/h zone

Calgary police say last Wednesday, July 19, officers stopped a 2002 BMW driving 202 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Crowchild Trail N.W., around 10 p.m. They say the 22-year-old driving was arrested for dangerous driving under the Criminal Code and must attend a mandatory court appearance in August. A Calgary driver likely won’t be behind the wheel of a vehicle for sometime, after they were stopped going more than double the speed limit.

Calgary police say last Wednesday, July 19, officers stopped a 2002 BMW going 202 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Crowchild Trail N.W., around 10 p.m.

They say the 22-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving under the Criminal Code and must attend a mandatory court appearance in August.
