Macleod Trail re-opens after vehicle-cyclist incident

A collision between a vehicle and a cyclist had a portion of Macleod Trail near Canyon Meadows Drive closed for several hours Wednesday morning.

Calgary police tell CityNews the incident happened just before 7 a.m. and the road was closed shortly after.

Police posted to X just after 12 p.m. that the road had re-opened to traffic.

EMS previously said the cyclist was taken to Foothills Hospital in life-threatening condition.
