1 arrested for break-and-enter at Calgary farmers’ market

A popular Calgary farmer’s market was desirable spot for a supposed burglar Sunday night.

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) tells CityNews that a man was arrested after breaking into the Crossroads Market in the southeast around 9 p.m.

CPS was notified that someone was inside the market when they weren’t supposed to be after an alarm went off.

When officers arrived with a K9 Unit, they found signs of what they are calling “forcible entry,” and say the suspect was still inside the building.

He was quickly arrested.

The supposed thief is now facing numerous pending charges.
