Swing in weather coming to Calgary, bringing snow and rain

From t-shirts and shorts to winter jackets in the span of 24 hours - that's the change Calgarians will see going into Tuesday. Silvia Naranjo finds out how people feel about the cold front.

An ‘abrupt change’ to the weather is expected in Calgary and much of southern Alberta Monday, according to a special weather statement from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC),

Following a stretch of above-average spring temperatures, the weather agency says a cold front is expected to move through Monday afternoon and into the evening.

This will bring with it colder air, rain, and snow, the ECCC adds.

“Later on today, we’ll see an area of rain progress southwards through Alberta, and that will quickly change to snow overnight tonight for the Calgary area with general amounts of five to 10 centimetres by the time all is said and done later on on Tuesday,” explained Paul Silvestro with ECCC.
