25-year-old woman identified as Calgary’s latest homicide victim

A suspicious death at a home in northeast Calgary over the weekend has been deemed at homicide and police have identified the victim as a 25-year-old woman.

A suspicious death at a home in northeast Calgary over the weekend has been deemed a homicide and police have identified the victim as a 25-year-old woman.

Officers say they were called to a home in the Redstone neighbourhood around 9:20 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a woman found at the home was pronounced dead after emergency crews attempted lifesaving measures.

Calgary police completed an autopsy on Tuesday and have identified the victim as 25-year-old Manpreet Kaur.

A man who was taken into custody on Sunday has been released without charges. No other suspect information has been made available.

The Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
