Calgary police have laid charges in connection to what is being called a “fatal domestic assault” on a 25-year-old woman at a northeast home last month.

Twenty-two-year-old Maninderpreet Singh has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Manpreet Kaur, who was found in medical distress at a home in Redstone on Sunday, April 21.

Investigators immediately deemed the death suspicious and later classified it as a homicide,.

Singh is set to appear in court on Tuesday, May 14.
