Concerts, pancakes, and a heat wave: What’s on tap at the Calgary Stampede today

Thousands took to Stampede Park on the first weekend of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth for pancakes, music, amusement rides, rodeo, and more after Friday’s kick off parade.

This week is expected to bring more of the same in the midst of a heat wave.

Here’s what’s happening on the first — and only — Monday at the Calgary Stampede.

Rodeo, Chuckwagon Races & Grandstand Show

The rodeo kicks off at 1:30 p.m. each day.

The Evening Show, including the chuckwagon races and Grandstand show follows the rodeo each day at GMC Stadium at 7:45 p.m.

Separate tickets are required for each event.
