Calgary police warn of high-risk offender released into public

Calgary police are warning locals about a high-risk offender who has been released to the public Friday.
Calvin Keegan Dillon, 37, has been released from custody and is believed to be returning to Calgary.
He was previously convicted of assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and voyeurism in Saskatchewan.
Police say Dillon isn’t bound by any court-ordered conditions, but say the High Risk Offender Program is working throughout the court process to request conditions.
He is described as being 6’1” tall, weighing 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
“The Calgary Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of Dillon’s release,” police said in a news release.
Officers also say advising the public is meant to provide people with suitable precautionary measures, and “not to embark on any form of vigilante action.”
