Four people rushed to hospital following crash in NW Calgary: police

A crash between a pickup truck and a car sent four people to hospital in Calgary Saturday afternoon.

Two adults and two children were rushed to hospital after their vehicle was rear-ended by a truck in the city’s northwest Saturday, Calgary police say.

The incident happened Saturday at around 1 p.m. on 16 Avenue NW near Canada Olympic Drive when a Dodge truck rear-ended a Kia, sending the four to hospital.

Police tell CityNews the two adults are now in serious but stable condition while the children suffered minor injuries.

The driver remained on the scene and suffered no injuries.

Police ask witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage to call them at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
