$80M Lotto Max jackpot split between Quebec, Alberta winners

By The Canadian Press

Canada’s Lotto Max jackpot will be split between two winning tickets.

Lottery officials report two tickets match the seven numbers drawn Tuesday night and will share the $80-million grand prize evenly.

One was purchased in Alberta, and the other in Quebec.

The last time there was a jackpot winner was Oct. 15 – for $65 million.

The pot was then reset to $17 million and kept rolling higher every Tuesday and Friday. It had been stuck at the maximum $80 million since Nov. 26.
