    UP NEXT:

55-year-old Michael Richard Cole is wanted on warrants for assault and uttering threats.

A man who has served time in prison for assault in a domestic case is now wanted for assault and uttering threats, Calgary police say.

Michael Richard Cole, 55, is described as 5’9″ tall, 205 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes.

Police have provided no other details, however, Cole has faced previous convictions.

He was charged with beating Dianne Denovan in 2016, facing two and a half years in prison for assault in 2019 after a country-wide manhunt.

That case led to Clare’s Law being introduced in Alberta in 2021, which gives the right to people who are worried about their partner’s behaviour to search for violence-related criminal records.

Cole was also wanted again in December 2021.

This comes as Ania Kaminiski and her father were murdered days after, according to her family, a dispute broke out at Christmas dinner with her partner, 38-year-old Benedict Kaminiski.

His body was found Monday near his car after a manhunt and emergency alert.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call them at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
