Calgary Wild FC to play in inaugural professional women’s soccer league game

Calgary will participate in the first-ever professional women’s soccer game on Canadian soil, visiting the Vancouver Rise on Wednesday, April 16, at B.C. Place.
The Wild’s home opener is slated for May 11, Mother’s Day, hosting the Ottawa Rapid at McMahon Stadium.
Each NSL team will play 25 regular season matches; Calgary will have 13 at home and 12 on the road.

All six clubs will compete in a single table format — three points for a win, one point for a draw, and zero points for a loss.
At the end of the season, the top four teams in the standings will compete in a home and away semi-final.
The championship match is slated for Nov. 15.
