The beat goes on for Canada’s ‘The Kings’ as they embrace ‘one-hit wonder’ label

Okay, let’s get this out of the way right from the start – The Kings are keenly aware that they are mainly known for their 1980 hit “This Beat Goes On/Switchin’ To Glide.”
Being a so-called ‘one-hit wonder’ is something they seem to embrace, in fact lead singer David Diamond proudly adds “it’s better one than none!”
However, you’d be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn’t poke further into their discography which includes about a half dozen other albums.
Their latest album, 2023’s “The Longest Story Ever Told” is a testament to the band’s enduring talent.
