Four people are in hospital, including one fighting for their life, after a single-vehicle rollover on Stoney Trail in the city’s northwest Saturday, Calgary police say.
Sgt. Colin Foster says it happened around 11:30 a.m. on Stoney Trail just after Country Hills Boulevard.
He says a BMW travelling westbound lost control, drove off the road to the right-hand side of Stoney Trail, then went up the embankment and rolled several times.
Foster clarified that one person is in life-threatening condition, one is in serious condition, and two are “walking wounded.”
The identities of the victims haven’t been shared as of Saturday afternoon, and the cause is unknown at this time.

Officers say emergency crews responded to initial calls that indicated multiple people were flung from the vehicle.
Multiple lanes were blocked for several hours as Calgary police diverted traffic at Stoney Trail at Country Hills Boulevard while they investigated.
Roads opened at around 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, police ask anyone with dashcam footage or anybody who may have witnessed the driver before the collision to call them at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
