Body found on small island in Bow River; Calgary police investigating

Police are investigating after a body was found on an island in the Bow River near Edworthy Park.

Calgary police say people out for a walk found what looked like human remains at a small island in the river around 10:30 p.m.

Investigators attended confirmed the remains were human.

Police say the medical examiner’s office and the CPS Homicide Unit are on scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
