Lake Louise to join early ski season with Tuesday opening

Skiers and snowboarders have another reason to celebrate as Lake Louise Ski Resort announces an early opening for the 2025–26 season.

The resort will start welcoming guests Tuesday morning thanks to a generous blanket of fresh snow, ongoing snowmaking efforts, and the work of mountain crews.

To mark the occasion, the first 200 visitors to hit the slopes will receive complimentary opening-day gifts as the season kicks off.

The Juniper Express Chair will begin operations at 9 a.m., offering access to Easy Street. Lake Louise also confirmed that the Grizzly Gondola is expected to be operational by the end of the week, expanding terrain options.

While Calgary has seen little snowfall so far, the mountains to the west have been blanketed, prompting some resorts to open earlier than expected.

Sunshine Village was the first to take advantage of the weekend snow, officially opening its doors to guests on Sunday.
