Teen riding scooter hurt in crash with truck in SE Calgary

A Calgary teen was taken to hospital Tuesday after he was hit by a truck while riding a scooter. 

Calgary police are investigating a crash that left a teen riding a scooter hurt on Monday afternoon in the city’s southeast.

At around 2 p.m., emergency crews were called to the intersection of 14 Avenue and 36 Street SE for a crash involving a truck and a scooter.

Police say a teenage boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
