Calgary police are asking for help finding a man wanted in connection with an assault that took place in the city’s northwest last summer.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. on Aug. 11, when a man and his partner were asleep in their home in the community of Nolan Hill.

Police say the couple woke up after hearing people yelling outside. When the man went to investigate, he found a group of three women and one man on the property.

An altercation broke out after the victim confronted the group. According to investigators, the group climbed onto the home’s patio and assaulted the man.

When the victim’s partner came outside, the group fled the area in a black 2025 Nissan Versa.

Security footage and witness accounts later helped police identify the suspects.

On Dec. 17, Calgary police issued a warrant for Abdullah Chahid, 25, of Kingston, Ont., charging him with assault causing bodily harm. Despite multiple attempts to locate him, investigators have been unable to find him.

Chahid is described as approximately 5’8” tall, 156 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Police are asking anyone with information about Chahid’s whereabouts—or details related to the incident—to call 403‑266‑1234. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
