Calgary police searching for suspect in NE restaurant assault

Calgary police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an ongoing assault investigation.

Calgary police are looking for help from the public to identify a man accused in an assault at a northeast Calgary restaurant last month.

Investigators say around 12:20 p.m. on Monday, March 16, a man was having lunch at the Ambarsariya Kitchen and Grill on 78 Saddlepeace Manor NE.

Two men and two women sat a table nearby before a fight broke out between one of the men in the group and the victim.

The group then left the restaurant, according to police.

Police are looking for a man described as 20 to 25 years old, 5’10” tall, with a slim build, black hair, and a short beard.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
